Forthcoming VLV Events for 2003

Tuesday, 21 January 6pm.  VLV Westminster Seminar with The Rt Hon Tessa Jowell, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.  Palace of Westminster, London SW1.  
VLV will provide a rare opportunity for ordinary viewers and listeners to hear and question the Secretary of State at first hand as the Bill makes its progress through Committee.
 

Monday, 17 February. 12.45 - 2.30pm.  VLV 20th Anniversary Celebration Lunch, with Mark Byford, Director, BBC World Service - on its 70th Anniversary.  At the British Academy, The Mall, London SW1.
 

Wednesday, 26 February: 10.00 - 4.30pm.   Broadcasting, Wales and the New Regulatory Framework.
Speakers include: Huw Jones, Chief Executive, S4C, Ellis Owen, Managing Director & Director of Programmes HTV Wales; Chris Bryant MP;  at the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea.  
 

Wednesday, 30 April:  11.00 - 4.45pm. VLV’s 20th Spring Conference:
The Communications Bill: Content or Commerce, which matters most? Keynote speaker:
Lord Currie of Marylebone, Chairman, OFCOM
 

Wednesday, 30 April, 1.45pm during the conference : presentation of 
VLV 2002 Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting by Andrew Marr.
