Media Literacy is an area of increasing importance to broadcasters, academics and to listeners and viewers. This report is an edited transcript of the second seminar on media literacy held by VLV in 2003. BBC Charter Review - VLV Submission
As part of the DCMS consultation on the renewal of the BBC Royal Charter, VLV has submitted a detailed reponse which makes the case for a strong and independent BBC.

VLV has an extensive number of publications and reports available. The most recent are on current broadcasting issues and will be of interest to policy makers, academics and students.
VLV also has a range of publications which will be of interest to those concerned with the history of broadcasting in the 1980's and 1990's. These are include transcripts of VLV conferences, seminars and lectures on broadcasting issues held by VLV since 1984.
All VLV conferences since 2006 are also available on audio cassette at a price of £25 (plus p & p). CDs are available upon request.
VLV also holds the archives of the former Broadcasting Research Council (BRC) which ran from 1980 - 1990 and those of the British Action for Children's Television (BACTV), which ceased operating in 1995.
