Working for Quality and
Diversity in Broadcasting
Roger Graef, the well-known documentary film-maker and criminologist, launched the VLV Silver Jublilee Appeal at Woburn House, Tavistock Square in London on October 2nd with an impassioned plea for support for VLV's mission at a time when public service broadcasting is facing many challenges.
VLV relies on the generosity of its members and supporters to continue our increasingly important work to support the independence, quality and diversity of British broadcasting. For 25 years VLV has championed the perspective of listeners and viewers. With the rapidly changing media industry, the role VLV has to play is as important as ever. Our supporters help to ensure that we can keep our prices low general members so no member is excluded from VLV activities of the basis of cost. This ensures that we have an informed membership who have had the chance to hear, meet and question leading industry players, policy-makers and regulators. Donations also help to fund our policy work and support research.
As well as joining there are several ways you can support the work of VLV.
These include:
A donation, however large or small, will go to fund our work of campaigning for high quality radio and television programmes and in support of the principles of public service broadcasting. To make a donation you can use the donation form. If you are from the corporate sector, and would like to discuss how we can acknowledge your donation, please e-mail the office at donations@vlv.org.uk
If you are a taxpayer and would like to gift aid your donation, please ring the office before making your payment.
The principles of public service broadcasting are vital to creating a future in which knowledge and information are available to all, not just those with the money to pay for it. You can help us to ensure that it lives on to benefit future generations, and help today's children meet the challenges of the future.
You can request a free legacy information pack, which explains how you can leave a gift to VLV in your will or how to add a codicil to an existing will. Please contact us at info@vlv.org.uk. Alternatively, if you would like to speak to someone in person, please call us on 01474 352835.
