Working for Quality and
Diversity in Broadcasting
VLV holds regular Conferences and Seminars at which you can find out about all the latest developments in broadcasting and hear and question leading broadcasters, politicians and opinion-formers at first hand. VLV events provide a unique opportunity, at an affordable cost, for lively discussion of broadcasting issues where the listeners and viewers are at the heart of the debate.
All VLV conferences since 2006 are available to purchase on audio cassette at a price of £25 (plus p & p). CDs are also available upon request. More info
VLV also organises a number of exclusive visits for members and their guests only to radio and television centres and studios around the UK and other special events, including talks by leading broadcasters, such as Sir David Attenborough, Michael Palin and Tim Marlow. Members recently visited BBC World Service at Bush House - an iconic location that the BBC plan to vacate within the next couple of years. BBC Salford Quay - set in the waterside mediacity - was visited on 11 November. A visit to see behind the scenes of the BBC News will be taking place soon. These visits are open to VLV members and their guests only. More info
A brief outline of forthcoming VLV's Conferences and Events is given below. To book a place please contact the office 01474 352835 or by email: Linda.Forbes@vlv.org.uk.
